my first vote was for the Gov. of Georgia - Jimmy Carter (seemed like a reasonable farmer type State senator) vs Lester Maddox (gave out ax handles to white patrons of his Fried Chicken restaurant - the implication being to use them on black people).
The "good" people of Georgia picked Lester Maddox.
going to take the volunteers at the polling place some snacks about noon, and then i'm going to take a nap. i don't think i'll be able to sleep tonight until i know he won.
The "good" Georgians in my republican neighborhood were giving the black folks dirty looks and making ugly comments while waiting to vote. Only if they new that not every white person is as stupid and bigoted as they are. They even took Obama signs down in my neighborhood. We are in Iraq fighting for "democracy" but can't stand in in Georgia!

If quantity of yard signs is any indicator, McCain is going to win Georgia (or at least East Cobb). Hopefully, the rest of the nation is smarter.
California is coming out strong. That's 55 in our column.
woot woot!
It took three hours to vote this morning, but worth every second. Go, Obama, Go!
