David was my running buddy in grad school. I haven't seen him in 12 years. He's reading tonight at 7. I've got to get me some bells.

I heard him read last year at the Southern Humanities Festival in Nashville. Loved his book. I actually liked him so much I gave him a copy of my book, but I don't know if he read it. I had no idea you knew him.
