Friday Nostalgia

Junior Prom, 1980

Too bad I was madly in love with some guy from Michigan (Ray Corridor, not that I much remember him) whom I'd met on one of those infamous PCB trips with Pops. I barely gave prom-date Scott (baseball player) the time of day, even though he went all evening without dipping snuff just for the occasion.

Please note the ankle-deep shag carpet. Nice shit.

I agree. He's pretty cute, even with the feathered hair.

T, how did you pee in that dress?

Tania Rochelle said...

Biggy, Dawn Murphy had a fat ass.

Nick, it didn't please me that his hair was better than mine.

Kathy, of course it did!

Ktothefe and Collin, he really was a sweetheart and deserved better.

Jennifer, I never pee.

T, on no she didn't. She was the cream of the 6th grade ass, hence the reason for turning me down. If only she could see me now that bitch would be suffering some serious remorse no doubt.

Dearest Montgomery, kiss my ass.

And Biggy, I think you've been on urbanslang.com for too long today. You need to lose the misogynistic tone before I get home.

You look great! He has this devilish grin like, "I'm gettin' me some!"

Tania Rochelle said...

Thanks about the lookin-great part Ads., but he didn't get anything but grief.

I gotta say, that is kind of awesome. For some reason I hear Jackson Brown in the background when I look at it. Or pretty much anything from the Fast Times at Ridgemont High soundtrack.

And if it makes you feel better, I was 6.

He must of really liked you if he didn't dip all night. In West Virginia that's a sign of love.

In this soundtrack, the Jackson Browne song musta been "Rosie"...

How could we have thought that styles back then were "timeless"? Or did we???

Ewwww... love the dress! My fave HS prom dress had about 47 tiers of blue and pink ribbons and "stuff." I still think it's gorgeous. Not that I'd wear it, but it was so right for that time, that place. I feel the same about my wedding dress too, divorce and everything. It was just so right for that moment in time. What more do we really take away with us than our memories of those mere moments in time?
