Gotcha Covered

Because Mary and Audrey both requested prayers during these coming studio and critique weeks, and because I happen to know there is a patron saint for every type of person, occupation, condition, or situation, I did a little research for those gals and any other Portfolio Center students who could use a little boost. Direct your petitions to the following:

First, St. Ursula, the Patron Saint of Students:

If that doesn't work, you can appeal to St. Rita, the Patron Saint of Lost Causes:

And if all else fails--if you just can't hack it in the world of design or advertising, there's always St. Julian, Patron Saint of Carnival Workers:

I think my problem is, perhaps, that I have been praying to the Patron Saint of Carnival Workers all along.

Is there a Patron Saint of Poster Artists?

Could we add the Patron Saint of the Neverending Catalog?

I don't know about you but what do you say we go back and fix all the hyphens and H&J's tomorrow?

Thanks for putting up with me.

Mary, St. Catherine of Bologna would work. Not only is she the patron saint of art, artists, liberal arts, and painters, but she will also help you resist temptation.

Audrey, our never-ending catalog saint would be St. John the Apostle, the patron saint of authors, bookbinders, lithographers, printers, publishers, etc.

I like hyphens.

I think YOU were putting up with me (and HANK!)

"No, YOU were putting up with ME!"

"No, YOU put up with ME more!"

"No, YOU'RE the better friend!"

"No, YOU'RE the better friend!"

Aww, how cute! Look at you two complimenting each other like you're on the grade school playground!

I swear! Sometimes the downright mean-ness of the comments really gets to me. Take your snideness down the road, anonymous.

We don't need any bullies on this playground.

How 'bout a Patron Saint of Stepfathers?

Biggy, that would be St. Thomas More, the perfect saint for you.

Not only is he the patron saint of step-parents but also of large families and difficult marriages.
