The Oscars

Watching 98-year-old Robert Boyle accept his Honorary Award, I think I'd like to come back as a production designer. Seems like some of you PC guys should be looking into that.

Above, one of Mr. Boyle's early sketches for The Birds.

I'd rather look into Diablo Cody's tatoo . . . but she seemed worried that everybody could see straight up her slit gown - d'oh - didn't it occur to her that she might win and have to be elevated, onstage?

I loved all the film clip packages they showed to celebrate the 80th anniversary last night, but the show was too damn long. Nice to see Robert Boyle get an honorary Oscar, but he should have been given one for all those Hitchcock movies along time ago.

As for Diablo -- you can take a stripper out of the club, but you can't take the club out of the stripper. She's funny as hell though. Her column in EW is brilliant.

Somebody at PC should design a dress for Tilda Swinton. I love her to death but that shredded hefty bag was a fashion HELL NO.
